    IES Progress Report 2020

New Star Lighting is pleased to announce that the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) has recognized the Lumanique Series for inclusion in the 2020 Progress Report, an annual publication showcasing significant contributions in the art and science of lighting.

New Star Lighting recently unveiled the Lumanique Series, a multi-function over-bed or ambient only luminaire that can be tailored to fit any application ranging from medical facilities to commercial settings. Available in 3 standard sizes (2’x4’, 2’x2’, 1’x4’ pair, 1’x4’ standalone unit), the multi-function version was designed to support and create a welcoming atmosphere for the patient and provide proper lighting levels for care-taker tasks. The fixture has four independently switched functions including ambient, exam, reading and a night light. The one-piece dimensional acrylic lens creates a unique focal point to any space.

With the introduction of these luminaires, specifiers can now customize their fixtures to suit their specific project needs by mixing and matching different features including function configurations, lumen packages, various correlated color temperatures and CRI options. The option of adding a decorative pattern to the lens or adding an overlay lens to create a flat wipe-down surface for added infection protection gives the Lumanique Series even more flexibility to be customized for individual projects.

“We are thrilled to be receiving this recognition from IES, especially in the medical lighting category,” said John Pena, President/GM of New Star Lighting. “We challenged ourselves to create a truly customizable fixture that spoke to the design community and focused on the patient’s well-being. It’s validating to see our hard work included in the Report.”
